Orange Pekoe is a tea term that is commonly misunderstood. Unlike what its name may suggest, there is no orange in this tea! “Pekoe” means teas picked as 2 leaves & a bud.
“Orange” originally referred to the Dutch Prince of Orange and thus conveys tea of noble quality. This classical blend of black tea leaves from southern India is lightly perfumed and has a fresh taste.
